What are the principles of Medical Training Therapy?

At the beginning of medical training therapy, diagnostic tests are carried out to determine the existing deficits of a patient’s physical condition in terms of capacity, functionality and pain. On the basis of the diagnostic results, therapeutic goals are defined according to the patient’s wish and a training program is prepared to resolve the exicting issues. Exercising content is regularly adjusted according to progress. In the end diagnostic testing is repeated to determine success achieved and limitations remaining.

Goals of Medical Training Therapy
Deficits in muscular strength, coordination, mobility and endurance after injuries and operations are specifically reduced. Functional exercise is training neuromuscular coordination  to help improving joint stability and alleviate pain and other problems. Core strength training

What is Core Strength Training?
It is a training program that includes components of balance and stability, abdominal and lower back work, and all muscles of the trunk.
A good Core Strength Training involves both activating the abdominal muscles, as well as all the muscles that stabilizing the spine, hips, and pelvis.
Core muscles are rectus abdominis, transverse abdominal muscles, internal, external and oblique abdominal muscles. Further, the quadratus lumborum, Iliopsoas,
Psoas Major and Trapezius.
They stabilize the spine in the neutral position (upright posture) and any kind of movement in upright posture. When you learn to maintain the upright posture while performing any type of strength training or athletic exercise, you will generate the most strength and safety for your spine. This means that your joints (especially the lower back) are protected and the body can function as a unit. Let us train you!

Training with theraband

Exercing with Theraband improve coordination, strength and range of movement in muscle groups. Due to the elasticity of therabands, exercising is very joint-friendly and effective.
Training starts with a theraband of resistance you are comfortable with. As muscular strenght improves, therabands of more resistance can be chosen (i.e. from yellow to red or green to blue) which increases the intensity of exercising.

Stretching

Stretching is a form of physical exercise that intentionally stretches a certain muscle or tendon (or muscle group) to improve the elasticity of the muscle and achieve a comfortable muscle tone. The result is a feeling of warmth, flexibility and freedom of movement. Stretching is also used therapeutically to relieve cramps. In its most basic form, stretching is a natural and instinctive activity; It is performed by humans and many other animals and often occurs instinctively after waking from sleep or after long periods of inactivity. Increasing flexibility through stretching is one of the most important components of fitness. Stretching can be dangerous in case of incorrect technique. There are many techniques of stretching, depending on which muscle group is stretched, some techniques can be ineffective or harmful, even to the point of causing tears, hypermobility, instability or permanent damage to the tendons, ligaments and muscles.
